Server Features

Built to Play, Not Wait

SWG Apex keeps the Pre-CU sandbox foundation but opens it up with faster movement, instant travel, broader templates, open cities, and active faction pressure.

Open World Faction PvP

Rebel and Imperial players are treated as overt while out in the open world. Outside protected major NPC city areas, faction enemies can attack each other without manually going overt first.

Instant Galaxy Travel

Travel wait times have been removed. You can travel from any shuttleport or starport to any other shuttleport or starport in the galaxy.

Faster Player Movement

Base player run speed has been increased so getting around on foot feels faster and less sluggish.

Vehicle Freedom

Vehicle call delay has been removed and vehicle ownership limits have been raised. Faster vehicle movement is still in development.

Armor Without the Wait

Armor equip delay has been removed. Gear swaps and armor setup now move faster.

Relaxed Naming

Character names, city names, guild names, and guild tags can use numbers and more military-style formats for unit IDs, faction tags, and coded names.

Character Builder Freedom

Use the Blue Frog / Character Builder to quickly shape your profession build and skip the painful early grind.

Expanded Blue Frog Items

Weapons, armor, vehicles, clothing, medicine, tools, and utility categories have been expanded to support real gameplay and testing.

High Skill Point Freedom

Apex supports broader multi-profession templates so players can experiment with stronger builds and more playstyles.

The Apex Difference

Apex is a custom Pre-CU experience. The goal is not to preserve every slow or punishing part of old SWG. The goal is to preserve the sandbox while making the game easier to enjoy today.

  • No endless profession grind wall
  • No long shuttle or starport waits
  • No vehicle call delay
  • No low vehicle ownership limit
  • No armor equip timer delay
  • No closed city kingdoms
  • More open Rebel vs. Imperial conflict
  • More naming freedom for player identity
